It was a long school holiday from late Nov.2010 till early Jan.2011. All our kids were supposingly having a great time with their family, relatives and friends back home. Some had gone for overseas trips with their parents and other family members while others stayed overnight at Sentosa island and visited our latest local attractions such as the Universal Studios. However, mostly, the kids spent their time at home, playing with their siblings, cousins and neighbourhood kids. After the long year-end holiday, they are finally back to school again. Many of the nursery and kindergarten kids are glad to see their old friends and familiar teachers in the new classrooms except some of the new and younger pre-nursery kids are the ones who are crying their hearts out as they try to figure out what is this place called “school” like with unfamiliar adults and some crying kids around. Gradually, their cries will stop as they begin to realise that a school or rather, the kindergarten is a fun place with other kids to play with; toys, pets, books and other learning materials for them to explore and adults who love, guide and help them patiently. Parents are also relieved whenever their little loved ones have finally come to accept this daycare centre called kindergarten which they have arranged for them. Well, we hope our kids and staff will have an enjoyable 2011 in Bethesda Chapel Kindergarten !
