Our Innovative Projects
Under the dynamic and innovative leadership of our principal, Dawn Loh and with her team of teachers and teacher aides, our kindergarten has embarked on several innovative projects with the approvals and grants from Ministry of Education, MOE Preschool Unit (2009-2012) and Early Childhood Development Agency, ECDA (2013) from 2009 – 2015.
2009 – Our Green Power
- Build further awareness among both children and adults alike on how we can go green and save the earth.
- Be an exemplary for early preschool education.
- Make use of our hot environment to provide green energy and save electricity.
- Support the ongoing go-green campaign by our government.
2011 – Gr(eat) Recipes * Finalist Award *
- Bring awareness of common herbs, spices and other food crops to children.
- Enable children to observe and care for other living things.
- Nurture understanding of the use of herbs and spices to enhance food as part of a healthy lifestyle.
- Engage parents in their children’s educational process.
- Raise charity fund for the The Straits Times Pocket Money Fund.
2012 – Our Mighty Mini Pulleys * Finalist Award *
- Introduce a world of pulleys into our kindergarten as part of Early Science education.
- Enhance our learning environment by providing more interesting, fun, age-appropriate and related hands-on activities for our preschoolers.
- Enable children to explore the pulleys, observe and build an awareness of their usefulness.
- Develop children’s manipulative skills, cognitive thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Engage parents and family members in our children’s educational process via the home-based pulley projects.
2013 – Little Sky Farmers * Commendable Award *
- Introduce the concept of urban rooftop farmings which are the modular and hydroponics.
- Nurture a new generation of little urban farmers in line with the Go Green theme.
- Impart know-how of early entrepreneurship by growing vegetables to raise fund for needy children.
- Involve adults, teachers and parents, to build awareness on how they can play their part in protecting and saving our environment as urbanites.
- Raise charity fund for the The Straits Times Pocket Money Fund.
2015 – Let’s Create A 7-day Story *******In Progress*******
- Instill an awareness in teachers that they can use objects such as pill boxes and trinkets in our daily lives to create stories with our young children from pre-nursery to K2 level.
- Enhance imagination, divergent thinking and creativity in both our children and teachers.
Other Project(s)
2012 – Let’s Have Gym Exercise Together ( by Health Promotion Board )
- Enhance children’s stability/ non-locomotor skills which will lead to better locomotor and manipulative skills.
- Allow the teachers and other centre staff to exercise with the children and increase their strength, improve co-ordination and blood circulation.

Charity Projects/ Community Service
2012 – Pens & Pencils Charity Drive to assist TOSCOP (Treasures of Sagay Community Outreach Program) for the impoverished kids on the mountainous areas of Phillipines.
2013 – Charity Drive for the IDP refugees and orphanage in Myanmar. Collected books, toys, stationery, school bags, clothes and shoes for the young children in the camp and orphanage.
***Long-term commitment in contributing towards Community Chest Annual Children’s Day donation drive.
